Internet Retailing’s November issue includes an insight around the world feature with comments on the French, US, Chinese and Malaysian markets.
With regard to Malaysia, IVIS Group CEO Qusai Sarraf reflects that “e-commerce has grown slowly within the Malaysian market and research estimates that by 2016, only 1.4% of retail in the country will be online. However, this forecast probably stems from the rather outdated view that Malaysia is not ready for online retail.
In truth, the journey has just begun and has massive potential. Malaysian retailers need to embrace the opportunities afforded by integrating the online and the physical stores to enhance the customer journey.”
